spectrum2
While it's not quite the powerhouse that is the Nexus 4 or the Optimus G, the LG Spectrum 2 is a quality device from the Korean manufacturer.  Suffice to say, this is one of the best offerings at its price range. SEE SPECS BELOW...

Design
Sporting hard corners and sharper-than-usual edges, the handset can probably be mistaken for a Sony Xperia.  Personally, I think the design is a fresh change for LG, whose Samsung lite aesthetic isn't really cutting it all that well in the aesthetic department.  It feels semi-premium, too, with a sectioned back plated and a good weight in hand.
Display
The 4.7-inch True HD IPS screen comes with a 1,280 x 720 resolution.  Display is clear and bright, with text and images rendered very clearly.  While it isn't the best screen in the market today, it's still a heck of an  impressive panel -- one that we would have probably gushed at if it was released 8 or so months ago.
Camera
Armed with 8 megapixel optics and a healthy selection of options, the camera on the LG Spectrum 2 is a heck of a lot of fun to use.  Photo quality is good, although the images aren't quite as accurate as on the Optimus G or the Nexus 4.  Still, this is a quality camera module, especially with the excellent quality of the video recordings in 1080p.
Features
It ships with Android 4.0 ICS, along with the slew of apps and features the platform brings.  Amazon's suite of applications are preloaded, too, along with Verizon's roster of mobile tools. Wireless connectivity is complete, with GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, LTE and everything in between.  LG also threw in a pair of Tag+ stickers labeled Office and Car respectively, so you can tap your way into specific macros in either scenario.
Performance
Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, the Spectrum 2 clears most tasks without a hiccup.  Even on graphics-intensive games, the handset performed admirably, with great rendering and high refresh rates.
Call quality is great, with excellent volume and natural-sounding voices.  Those on the other end reported similarly positive things, although they did note an occasional low static noise.  Speakerphone quality, however, is poor.  Battery is rated at 10.4 hours.
Overall
The LG Spectrum 2 is an excellent combination of solid hardware, good features and an attractive price.  It's available from Verizon, priced at $99.99 on a new two-year agreement.
