New Huawei IFA teaser hints at Cat.6 LTE, fingerprint sensor

Like every other smartphone maker under the sun, Huawei will hold a pre-IFA press conference early next month too. This will happen on September 4, and we're expecting to see at least one new handset being announced there.
A previous teaser hinted at the number 7, so we assume the device will be called either Ascend Mate 7 or Ascend D7. Anyway, Huawei has now sent us a more thorough teaser presentation, and we've extracted the most interesting pages from it in image form.

The fingerprint scanning capability of the phone is pretty much confirmed. The intriguing calculation of 83/100 yields a result of 0.83, which may be how thin (in centimeters) the device is going to be.

Moving on, the eight-speed gearbox probably wants to tell us something about the number of cores we should expect the new Ascend's CPU to sport. Octa-core smartphones are big in China, and we assume Huawei will use its very own Kirin 920 chipset for the new offering.
This has been announced a couple of months ago, and it comes with a big.LITTLE configuration, with its CPU having four Cortex-A15 high performance cores which can be clocked at up to 2 GHz, and four Cortex-A7 battery-friendly ones which can go up to 1.6 GHz.

The six cats in the image you can see above to the left may refer to Cat.6 LTE support being built-in. This will allow the new Huawei handset to reach theoretical peek download speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
And finally we have that 7 hinted at yet again. Huawei has skipped digits for its smartphone iterations in the past (like the Ascend P6, for example), so it wouldn't be surprising to find that number in the new device's name.
All of these signs point to a top of the line offering getting official on September 4, but recently we've seen a mid-range Huawei phone leak with a fingerprint sensor on its back. That could be unveiled at IFA too, alongside the higher-end model.
