Skype for iPhone update brings web link previews, new ways to manage conversations from Apple Watch

Microsoft has updated its Skype for iPhone app to version 5.13, bringing web link previews for chat, as well as more ways to manage conversations from Apple Watch.
The updated app now shows you a preview of the content whenever you send or receive a web link, thus making it “much easier to see the cat video or information that’s been shared before you open the link,” the company said in a blog post.

In addition, the update also brings several new ways to manage Skype conversations from Apple’s smartwatch: you can use voice-to-text to reply to chats from the wearable device; start a chat with a favorite contact (to favorite a contact, open the Skype for iPhone app, head to the favorites view and tapadd favorites at the bottom of your favorite list); mark all conversations as read using Force Touch; and finally you can also manage incoming calls from the smartwatch.
The Skype for iPhone app is free, and is available for download from the Apple App Store.
