Those who are hoping that Christ Embassy Head Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his estranged wife Anita Oyakhilome will resolve their issues and get back together, shouldn't hold their breath as the woman is said to have vowed to divorce the pastor Chris..

Speaking with Premium Times through her lawyers, Mrs Oyakhilome said her relationship with her husband had terribly degenerated that there is no room for any reconciliation or out-of-court settlement.

Sony updates its wearables with new SmartWatch 3 and SmartBand Talk

Sony had quite a presence at this year’s IFA in Berlin, and after introducing its new Z3 lineup it’s decided to cap things off with two new wearables.

The SmartWatch 3 will be the company’s first smart device to run on Android Wear, while the SmartBand Talk brings voice communication and telephony to the company’s popular SmartBand fitness tracker.

Sony unveils QX1 and QX30 lens cameras, ActionCam Mini

Just as previously rumored, Sony has just announced its next batch of lens cameras – the QX1 and QX30. Both cameras will use your smartphone as a viewfinder, have attaching mechanisms for that smartphone but will also be usable detached.

The QX1 is by far the most interesting lens camera from Sony so far. It has an APS-C sensor (the same in size as those in Sony’s line of interchangeable lens cameras and DSLRs) and uses the E Mount to allow multiple lenses to be used.

LG is already mocking the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

By now you probably know that Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 earlier today. Yet here we are, mere hours later, and the company’s chief competitor from its native South Korea, LG, is already mocking it.

The image above was posted on Twitter by LG’s arm in Jordan. It takes aim at a new feature that lets Galaxy Note 4 owners take selfies by placing a finger on top of the heart rate monitor on the back of the phablet, then taking said finger off of it.

Asus announces new ZenWatch wearable

The latest from ASUS out of IFA 2014 includes its first smartwatch powered by Android Wear, the ZenWatch.

The ZenWatch, produced in partnership with Google, features a curved glass design and a case that designed to follow the contours of your wrist, alongside a premium leather strap.

Toshiba Encore mini is a 7″ Windows 8.1 tablet for $120

Toshiba unveiled its own ultra-affordable Windows 8.1 tablet, the Toshiba Encore mini (model number WT7-C16). Priced at just $120, the Encore mini sports a tablet sports a 7″ 1,024 x 600 screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and 5-finger capacitive touch sensor.

The tablet is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor (1.33GHz clockspeed, 1.83GHz Burst Frequency).

Acer unveils Aspire R13 convertible with QHD display and active pen

Acer’s latest foire into Windows convertibles is the R13 laptop. It has a QHD (2560 x 1440) touchscreen display and an Intel Haswell chipset. The most curious thing about it is that Ezel Aero Hinge that has dual-torque design and allows the display to be rotated and the ultrabook to convert into six distinct body-to-screen configurations.

You can use the R13 laptop in the notebook, stand, tent and three other positions. Both the top plate of the device and the display are covered by Gorilla Glass 3.

Acer offers its Active Pen for the R13 laptop. The pen supports Acer Hover Access and gives users pop up menus and can be used as a tool to interact with the OS.

No word yet on pricing or availability for the Acer Aspire R13

Lenovo announces TAB S8 Android tablet

Lenovo has announced an 8-inch Android based tablet at IFA 2014. It seems like a simple enough device but has decent specifications for the price.

The TAB S8 has a 8.0-inch, 1920×1200 resolution IPS display, Intel Atom Z3745 SoC with quad-core 1.86GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.6 megapixel front camera, stereo speakers with Dolby sound, 7 hours of battery life and Android 4.4 KitKat.

The TAB S8 will go on sale beginning of September for $199.

OUYA in acquisition talk with Chinese companies

After failing to make any dent whatsoever in the gaming market, OUYA has now looking for companies to acquire their business. According to Re/code, the company is in talks with Chinese companies, along with a few others.

OUYA started life as a Kickstarter project and was one of the more successful ones. The $99 Android based gaming console sounded like a good idea in theory but odd decisions such as having their own store, making it compulsory for every game to be free, and the mediocre hardware meant it failed to take off.

Upcoming Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2-830LC leaked

Lenovo is preparing to launch a new series of Yoga tablets at IFA this year. One of them is the Yoga Tablet 2-930LC, with a name that just rolls off the tongue.

The Yoga Tablet 2-930LC has a curved edge similar to the first Sony Tablet S to make it easier to hold in one hand but the curve also hides an integrated kickstand that can be used to prop up the tablet at an angle.

Opera Mini beta goes live for Windows Phone devices

Opera Mini beta is now available for Windows Phone devices. The developers behind the popular web browser have for users who are willing to join the beta testing group.

Once signed up, you should be receiving a download link for the beta version of the Opera Mini browser.There is no word on when will the app make its way to official availability.

Dual-SIM Motorola Moto E with 4G LTE spotted in Brazil

The Moto G launched with no LTE connectivity but a 4G model was launched later and now the Moto E might be following in its footsteps. A Brazilian retailer has a listing for the Moto E Dual 4G – that's right, not only is it 4G but it gets to keep its dual-SIM connectivity (on most entry-level phones it's an either-or question).

The Motorola Moto E already had a microSD slot, expandable the second change on the 4G flavor of the Moto G. The rest of the specs seem unchanged too, the 4.3" qHD screen, Snapdragon 200 chipset, 5MP camera with 480p video capture, 1,980mAh battery and so on.

This model also has Digital TV, like other Brazilian phones including the regular Moto E.

The Motorola Moto E Dual 4G is not available at the retailer (as it's not supposed to officially exist) and there's no price either. Motorola has an event scheduled for tomorrow and we're expecting the successors to the Moto X and the Moto G, after this leak we'll also be on the lookout for a Moto E update.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with 5.7-inch QHD screen unveiled

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a worthy successor to the legendary phablet family with every feature put into overdrive. It's the first Note not to grow the screen size, which remains at 5.7", but it now has nearly 80% more pixels thanks to its new QHD resolution pushing the pixel density from 386ppi to 515ppi.

It's a Super AMOLED, of course, but it's covered by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3. For those who don't remember the Nokia N9, 2.5D glass has curved sides to make swiping from the edge smoother, and edge gestures are everywhere in Android now.

The Galaxy Note 4 will bring a redesigned S Pen stylus that offers better grip. The accompanying software (S Note, Multi-window) has also been enhanced. A new Snap Note app will turn photos of printed documents into editable text.

Upcoming Samsung SM-G530 gets pictured, has specs outed

Sure, the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge may be the talk of the town this week, but that doesn't mean Samsung isn't going to churn out other devices in the near future too.

One contender is the handset known right now just by its model number - SM-G530. This has been certified for sale in China by TENAA, the relevant authority over there. As usual in such cases, a couple of photos showing the phone have surfaced.

Thanks to the TENAA listing, but also to the fact that the G530 was benchmarked a while back, we also know what to expect in terms of specs. This one will be clearly in the 'value for money' segment.

Oppo enters the Australian market with four of its smartphones

Oppo has announced that it will be launching its smartphones in the Australian market. The Chinese manufacturer has got good response for its smartphones in other markets and is now poised to enter Australia with four of its best phones.

Oppo will be launching the Find 7, one of the first phones ever to have a quad HD display, along with its full HD sibling the Find 7a. Along with them, there will also be the N1 mini and the Neo 5.

The Find 7 will be priced at A$719, the Find 7a at A$629, the N1 mini at A$539, and the Neo 5 at A$219.

IFA 2014: Asus ZenWatch and MeMO Pad 7 hands-on

Asus had its IFA 2014 press conference today and unveiled the anticipated ZenWatch, the MeMO Pad 7 tablet, and the EeeBook X205 Intel Atom-powered netbook. We didn't get to see a new ZenFone from the company.

Probably the most interesting item of the three is the ZenWatch, the company's first attempt at a smartwatch and one made in collaboration with Google, using its Android Wear platform developed exclusively for the form factor.

The watch packs a 1.63" 320 x 320px AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 400 chipset and a built in microphone. It opts for an interesting design that's neither round nor square but has a 2.5D curved front that should make it feel more comfortable to wear and use.

Samsung on Tuesday announced the launch of Smart Learning, what the company is calling India's first education store, under its MSC (Media Solutions Center) division.

In a bid to be more competitive against other prepaid services and increase the appeal of the brand among data-conscious users, Boost Mobile will increase data on its current plan slate until November 3rd, though dealers have already confirmed that the plans could become a permanent change, if they attract enough new subscribers.

MetroPCS To Increase Data and Bring Back Four Line $100 Promotion

T-Mobile’s MetroPCS is starting to feel the squeeze from competitors such as the AT&T-powered Cricket and other MVNOs, as the flat-rate monthly service brand is set to increase data allotments on its popular $40 and $50 monthly plans by 500MB in order to better compete, with the $40 plan going up to 1GB and the $50 monthly plan going up to 3GB of data per month. While the changes mean that MetroPCS is merely matching current competition, the brand still has key advantages over its competitors such as unthrottled access to its LTE network and full support for T-Mobile’s Wi-Fi calling service along with the inclusion of taxes and fees on all of its monthly service rates.

According to new reports by Reuters and the Wall Street Journal, following Sharp’s new agreement with SoftBank and Sprint announced in the last couple of weeks, Sony Mobile is the latest manufacturer to cut a new distribution deal with SoftBank that will also benefit Sprint in the US with an expanded range of smartphones and tablets. While everyone involved is refusing immediate comment on the reports, the deal is expected to be announced during the IFA tradeshow being held next week with the launch of a new flagship Z3 model, while more details on Sprint’s end of the deal are expected during the CTIA tradeshow the week following IFA.
