Infinix is set to launch two new smartphone by the beginning of the second quarter of this year.
The devices are called the Infinix Alpha 8 and Q2.
According to sources, the device will pack in an octa - core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The Alpha 8 will reportedly have a 5.5 inch touch screen display while the Q2 would have a 5.0 inch touch screen display. Furthermore, both devices would have 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras attached to them. Continue....
At the moment there is no word on the Android version that would be slammed on the devices but we are sure it won't be less than the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
We also do not have word on the RAM size that would be on the device but we are sure that the new generation Mediatek chip that was launched around November last year would be in the Alpha 8 and Q2.
Mediatek MT6592 is that new chip having 8 processing cores that can run simultaneously offering the ultimate combination of performance and power-efficiency unlike other octa-core chips that can only run half of its cores at any given time.
Each core is capable of a clock speed of 2GHz, supports 4K displays, up to 16MP camera and even miracast support .
Therefore, we expect the Infinix Alpha 8 and Q2 smartphones to have enhanced multitasking capabilities, superior gaming experiences, lovely browsing experience, smooth user interface and effective multimedia playback.
Already, Mediatek struck a deal with Gameloft to make sure that the new Modern Combat 5 will be made to take advantage of its octa-core processor.
This is definitely something that Infinix fans want to see happen and we shall keep you posted on the availability of these two devices that are scheduled to be released around April or May this year.
