Nikon has announced a new point and shoot camera, the COOLPIX S6900. This one in particular has been designed to facilitate self portraits, and features a swiveling display and a stand to place the camera on.
The S6900 also has a shutter button up front to make it easier to click while holding the camera. You can also do gestures with your hands, which the camera recognizes and takes a picture. Glamor mode enhances your face with four effects, Skin softening, Powder, Soft, and Vividness. Self-collage feature will take a series of images and then automatically make a collage out of them. Selective softening will let you highlight your face and the camera will then blur everything else in the frame.
Other than that, the COOLPIX S6900 has a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor, 12x optical zoom, 3.-inch, 460k dot vari-angle LCD, 1080p60 video recording, Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.
The Nikon COOLPIX S6900 will be available starting September 23 for £199.99 / €249.
