New Zenbook and Eeebook laptops official from Asus

Asus has just outed a pair of tablets – one 13.3″ and one 11.6″ – during its press conference at the IFA 2014 expo in Berlin.
The Zenbook UX305 is marketed as “the world’s slimmest 13.3-inch QHD+ laptop,” while the EeeBook X205 is set to offer quad-core Intel Atom device at under €200.

The Zenbook UX305 is one of the most stylish laptops in Asus’s Zenbook family, featuring an all-aluminum frame that comes in at just 12.3mm thick – that’s almost smartphone-grade! Keeping in line with the trim design, it weighs in at just 1.2kg. The QHD+ resolution translates to 3200 x 1800px, while under the hood you’ll find a 256GB SSD and an Intel Core M processor.
The EeeBook X205 is even more compact at 11.6 inches, and runs on a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735 processor. The screen is a paltry 1366 x 768 resolution, while storage is limited to 32/64GB depending on what fits your budget. Rounding out the mediocre specs is 2GB of RAM and a VGA camera, with the usual array of connectivity features including micro-HDMI and USB 2.0 ports. To compensate for the low specs, Asus is pricing the X205 very competitively at $199/€199.
The Zenbook UX305 will become available in Obsidian Stone or Ceramic Alloy, while the Eeebook X205 will come in black, white, gold, and red.
